1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of ontarioclimatesolutions.ca, operated by Ontario Climate Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Work we carry out in your home is covered by the written quote or contract you sign for that job. If that contract conflicts with these terms, the contract wins.
2. Acceptable use
You may use this website to learn about our services, request quotes and book appointments. You agree not to:
- submit false information or requests on someone else’s behalf without their permission;
- use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
- copy content in bulk, scrape the site or use automated tools to submit forms;
- upload or send viruses, spam or offensive material.
3. Quotes, estimates and rebates
Prices, payment estimates and rebate amounts on this site are for general information only. They are not an offer. Your price is set in a written quote after we assess your home.
Rebate and incentive programs are run by governments and utilities, not by us. Their amounts and rules can change or end without notice, and approval is decided by the program, not by us. Financing is subject to the lender’s approval.
4. User accounts and your responsibilities
You don’t need an account to use this site today. If we offer accounts in future, for example to manage bookings or maintenance plans:
- you must be at least 18 and give accurate, current information;
- you are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account;
- tell us right away at info@ontarioclimatesolutions.ca if you think someone else has used your account.
Whether or not you have an account, you are responsible for the information you send us, and for making sure you are allowed to request work at the address you give.
5. Intellectual property
The content on this site, including text, graphics, logos, photos and code, belongs to Ontario Climate Solutions or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, change, publish or sell our content without written permission. Brand names of equipment manufacturers belong to their owners.
6. Third-party links and services
The site links to other websites, such as rebate programs and lenders, and may use third-party tools like the Meta Pixel. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
7. Disclaimers
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep information accurate and up to date, but we don’t promise that it is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available.
Information on the site, including articles and tips, is general guidance and not a substitute for an in-person inspection by a licensed technician. If you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility’s emergency line.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Ontario Climate Solutions is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, including lost data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim about the website is limited to CAD $100.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded, or our responsibility for work carried out under a signed contract.
9. Indemnity
If you break these terms and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the site, or any account, if you break these terms or misuse the site. You may stop using the site at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, still apply after termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Ontario, unless consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
