In short: we collect what we need to quote and deliver your service, we don’t sell your information, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete it at any time.

This website is operated by Ontario Climate Solutions, located at [Business Address] (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide heating, cooling and water services to homeowners.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our services, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to ontarioclimatesolutions.ca and to information you give us by phone or email.

We only collect what we need. Here is each type of information, where it comes from and what we use it for.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health or financial account details through this website. If you apply for financing, the lender collects that information directly under its own privacy policy.

3. Cookies, the Meta Pixel and similar tools

We and third parties, including Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”), may use cookies, web beacons, pixels and similar storage technologies on this website to collect or receive information from it and elsewhere on the internet. Meta uses this information to provide measurement services, to target ads and to help us show our ads to people on Facebook and Instagram.

The Meta Pixel is a small piece of code that records actions on our site, such as viewing a page or submitting a quote form, and sends them to Meta. Meta may match this with your Facebook or Instagram account. Meta’s use of this data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following, and only as much as each needs:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — website activity collected by the Meta Pixel, for ad measurement and targeting (if used).
  • Website hosting and form providers — to store and deliver the information you submit.
  • Analytics providers — to measure site traffic (if used).
  • Financing partners — only when you ask us to start a financing application.
  • Rebate program administrators — only with your permission, to apply for government or utility rebates for you.
  • Equipment manufacturers — to register your warranty after installation.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — lawyers, accountants or insurers, and when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, for example in the United States, where it may be accessed by authorities under local law.

5. How to opt out

Opting out of ads doesn’t stop ads; it means the ads you see won’t be based on your activity on our site.

6. Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we used it;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example, tax records);
  • withdraw consent you gave us, such as for marketing.

Email info@ontarioclimatesolutions.ca with the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Our website and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under [16].
