How long does a furnace last?
Most gas furnaces run 15 to 20 years with regular maintenance. After about 15 years, repair costs and efficiency losses usually justify replacement.
What size furnace do I need?
Size depends on your home’s heat loss, not just square footage. Oversized units short-cycle and wear out early, so we calculate before we quote.
Repair or replace?
As a rule of thumb, if a repair costs more than a third of a new furnace and the unit is over 15 years old, replacing it is the better investment.
